Arranging a Gas Meter Exchange
Why does my gas meter need to be exchanged?
We periodically replace gas meters in accordance with federal codes. This ensures accurate usage measurement and keeps our equipment up-to-date. Meters are only changed when required.
What is the exchange process?
Please schedule an appointment using one of the methods below:
- Log in to myaccount to book an appointment.
- Call the phone number in the letter you received to schedule a date.
The meter exchange will be performed by a utility service representative or an authorized contractor.
Important - access inside your home will be needed
- The gas will be turned off before the meter exchange work is done.
- Following the exchange, our technician will need access inside your home to relight gas appliances and equipment. Someone over the age of 18 must be home during the appointment.
