Take the guesswork out of your monthly energy budgeting and sign up for our free Equal Billing Plan (EBP). Having a stable and predictable monthly energy bill can make your life easier by allowing you to budget your monthly expenses.

How does EBP work?

We estimate your natural gas charges for the upcoming year based on your past gas use and expected rates. Then, we divide that amount into 11 equal monthly instalments from September to the following July. In August, your account is credited if you used less gas than estimated, or charged if you used more, so you only pay for the gas you actually used.

Signing up for EBP is easy

  • Visit our myaccount page to register or log in. Select Bills & Payments, choose EBP and follow the steps.
  • Or, you can call 1-888-774-3111 and press 2—be sure to have your Union Gas account number handy.

When you have a blocked sewer, it’s understandable you’d want to fix it right away. But before you, a contractor or plumber try clearing a blocked sewer or septic pipe outside the walls of your home, contact Ontario One Call toll free at 1-800-400-2255 for a free on-site sewer safety inspection.

Sometimes underground natural gas pipes are unintentionally installed through sewer or septic pipes. These are called cross bores, and can be dangerous as the equipment used to unclog a blockage, such as motorized drain cleaning or high-pressure water jetting equipment, can easily break a natural gas pipe and cause a leak.
