During the winter, when you shovel your drive or walkway, be sure to clear a path to your natural gas meter. This ensures the meter reader can safely access it with ease. Gently brush off snow or ice with a soft broom or brush, and never use
a sharp tool like an ice scraper.
If your meter isn’t accessible, your bill will show an estimated amount and will be adjusted the next time we can get an accurate reading. Help us make sure your bill reflects your actual gas use by keeping your meter clear and accessible. Also keep exhaust vents free of snow and ice to avoid unexpected heating equipment safety shutdowns.
Sometimes severe weather conditions prevent our meter readers from taking a reading. You can contact us online using myaccount or by calling 1-888-774-3111, select option 2, and submit your meter reading.
