Check your August bill for your Equal Billing Plan balance

If you use the Equal Billing Plan (EBP), August is when we balance your gas payments with actual gas costs for the year. When you signed up, we estimated the amount of gas you’d use over the year and divided it into 11 equal instalments from September – July.

This month, you’re credited or charged the difference between your instalments paid and the actual gas costs so you only pay for the gas you’ve used. In September, you’re automatically re-enrolled and your new EBP instalment amount is set for the following 11 months.

Signing up for EBP is easy

  • Register or log in to myaccount, select Bills & Payments, choose EBP and follow the steps.
  • You can also call 1-888-774-3111 and press 2.
  • Be sure to have your account number handy.

Contact Ontario One Call before you dig

If you’re planning a summer project, it’s the law to have natural gas lines on your property located before you dig. Contact Ontario One Call at least five days before you dig. Service is free. If you have privately owned lines on your property consult the Yellow Pages online to find a local service provider. Fees will apply.

If you’re planning to move, be sure to register for myaccount, our online account management tool — it’s the easiest way to move, open or close your natural gas service. There’s no waiting, calling or office hours and you can update your move request at any time.

How to make the move

one Go to myaccount to log in.
two Once online, click “I’m Moving.”
three Then choose “Transfer Your Gas Service.”
four Fill out your new address and move date.
If you no longer need natural gas service, just click “Stop Service” to close your account.

Payment names are changing

  • Paying at the bank or online, now use Enbridge Gas Inc. (Union Gas)
  • Make cheques payable to Enbridge Gas Inc.
  • No changes are needed for Automatic Payment Plan. You will now see Enbridge Gas Inc. on your bank statements.
