Union Gas Promotes Safety With A $2,500 Grant To Family & Children's Services Waterloo Region
Kitchener, ON, November 6, 2017 - Union Gas is proud to partner with Family & Children's Services of the Waterloo Region as part of Carbon Monoxide Awareness Week to provide combination smoke and carbon monoxide alarms to clients within the Waterloo Region, through a $2,500 grant.

"At Union Gas, we put safety above all else, both on the job and off the job," said Rick Bigelow, utility services manager Waterloo, Union Gas. "Partnering with Family & Children's Services of the Waterloo Region to provide smoke and carbon monoxide alarms is one way we demonstrate our commitment."
Family & Children's Services of the Waterloo Region serves more than 3,800 families each year, equipping them with important safety knowledge and devices that are essential for the safety and well-being of children and families. Their service teams are committed to in-home, early intervention services, which can reduce the need for more intrusive services later and help children flourish in a caring family setting. The Family & Children's Services Foundation supports programs and services, not covered through government funding, to help children and families heal, learn and grow.
