Union Gas Supports Fort Frances Fire & Rescue Service With $1,000 Grant To Purchase Public Fire Safety Education Material

Fort Frances, ON, November 30, 2017 - Union Gas supports Fort Frances Fire and Rescue Service with a $1,000 grant to purchase Public Fire Safety Education Materials.

"We make it a priority to support important and much-needed safety initiatives," said Duane Harris, utility service manager, Union Gas. "At Union Gas, safety is a top priority, and we are committed to keeping ourselves, our teams and our communities safe."

The Fort Frances Fire & Rescue Service is made up of a full-time Fire Chief/CEMC, six full-time firefighters and sixteen part-time firefighters. Equipping the firefighters with public fire safety education materials is important to ensure they can effectively deliver fire safety education to the general public.

Public Fire Safety Education Materials, related to our fire safety initiatives, is important for our fire & rescue service and for Union Gas," said Tyler Moffitt, fire chief/cemc, Town of Fort Frances. "Working together, we will be better equipped to keep our community educated and safe. Fire safety and our people is what we all hold dear to our hearts, no one gets left behind."
