Union Gas Partners With Hamilton Fire Department In Support Of 'Alarmed And Ready' Program Courtesy Of A $2,500 Grant
Stoney Creek, ON, May 31, 2017 - Union Gas is proud to partner with Hamilton Fire Department in support of 'Alarmed and Ready', smoke alarm program, courtesy of a $2,500 grant.

Through the program, Hamilton firefighters install smoke alarms and/or smoke alarm batteries in homes where homeowners, who because of financial reasons, age, physical or mental limitations, cannot install or purchase their own. The installation is provided at no cost to the homeowner and takes only minutes to complete.
"I am extremely pleased to announce today that Union Gas has committed to continue to assist Hamilton Fire Department in the 'Alarmed and Ready' program with additional funding in the amount of $2,500 towards the purchase of smoke alarms and batteries," said David Cunliffe, fire chief, Hamilton Fire Department. "This important funding supports our goal of installing smoke alarms/batteries to protect vulnerable citizens from the ravages of fire in their home."
