"At Union Gas, we're proud to support the great work that United Way Brant does in this community," said Sharon Johnston, manager contact centre operations, Union Gas. "We share a similar commitment and we work hard to be good neighbours in more than 400 communities we serve across Ontario."

The company's United Way theme, "We Give Today, To Improve Tomorrow," reflects the heart of the campaign, and it also reflects employees' spirit of giving. Numerous fundraising events led by employees were held throughout the year to raise money. Union Gas matches each individual donation dollar for dollar, and those matching dollars will go to each local United Way.

"The Brant United Way is proud to have such loyal partners like Union Gas. Because you went above and beyond, exceeding your goal of $42,000 the United Way will be able to improve more lives locally, the lives of neighbours, friends and co-workers," said Linda Moyer, director of resource development, United Way Brant. "The Union Gas campaign started off strong with the efficiently organized warehouse sale, followed by the Community Impact presentations with a new interactive component to demonstrate the need locally. Congratulations are in order to the Union Gas employee campaign team who worked tirelessly to create awareness, encourage participation and grow leadership.  Thank you for changing lives."

Funds will go to support United Way Brant agencies and programs that address the needs of communities they service with the mission to improve lives and build community by engaging individuals and mobilizing collective action.
