"At Union Gas, safety governs everything we do, whether we are building a pipeline or installing a gas meter at your home," said Nick Jones, utility services manager, Union Gas. "Because of our safety culture, we make it a priority to support our local firefighters, helping to ensure the safety of the community."

The London Fire Department offers pro-active services such as a city wide smoke alarm program, involving fire crews canvassing neighborhoods and providing alarms to those who do not have them in place.

"We are greatly appreciative of the ongoing generous donations and participation received from Union Gas," said Jack Burt, assistant deputy chief of fire prevention, London Fire Department. "Donations such as these assist the London Fire Department to offer fire education programs that enhance the safety of the community."
