"At Union Gas, we are committed to the safety of our employees and our communities,” said Mark Egbedeyi-Emmanuel, district manager Hamilton/Halton, Union Gas. "That's why we support important safety educational programs in the communities we serve, such as those offered here at the Safety Village, which help children in Oakville embrace personal safety."

The Halton Regional Police Service Children's Safety Village, a miniature town with buildings, paved roads, traffics signals, railroad crossings and sidewalks, all designed to offer free safety-based classes to Kindergarten, Grade 2 and 3 classes within Halton Region.

"In recent years, Union Gas has generously given over $50,000 to the Children's Safety Village. These funds have enabled the Safety Village to help upgrade current equipment, technologies, audio and visual aids to assist with teaching children about safety, said Sgt. Dave Tutte, Halton Regional Police Service. "I would like to thank Union Gas for their continued generosity. Without caring community partners like them, many vital programs aimed at community safety could not be realized."
