The St. Thomas Fire Department is committed to promoting public safety in the community. Partnerships, such as this with Union Gas, allow the fire department to continue to grow their public education programs to enhance fire and life safety within the city. Programs like the smoke alarm and Carbon Monoxide alarm programs are examples of community outreach. Thanks to Union Gas and this $1000 grant the fire department is able to reach more of the residents in need.
"It is my pleasure to work with Union Gas and it is with gratitude that I accept this donation on behalf of every resident of St. Thomas," said Rob Broadbent, fire chief of St. Thomas.
