Union Gas Helps Children Build Energy Awareness Through a $2,000 Grant To London Children's Museum
London, ON, August 9, 2016 - Union Gas has partnered with London Children's Museum in their efforts to offer children in the London area the opportunity to build a strong foundation in energy awareness and conservation courtesy of a $2,000 grant.
"At Union Gas, we believe that investing in the environment creates lasting benefits for people and communities," said Amanda Murray, planning and dispatch manager, Union Gas. "We are very pleased to support London Children's Museum and its energy awareness and conservations programs, which are helping teach London youth about the importance of energy conservation."
For almost 40 years, the Children's Museum has been providing children and their grown-ups with extraordinary hands-on learning experiences in a distinctly child-centred environment. Union Gas' donation ensures the Children's Museum can continue to offer exciting and inspiring educational programs and services for children including those that help children build awareness about energy and its conservation.
"The Children's Museum is a place where children learn how the world works, who they are and what they might become – all through play!" said Amanda Conlon, executive director, London Children’s Museum. "We are so grateful for the support of community partners like Union Gas who help us to deliver relevant and impactful educational experiences."
