COVID-19 Energy Assistance Program (CEAP)

Consumer Alert: No energy assessment, audit, inspection or home visit is required to apply for CEAP. If you receive an email or other communication from an individual or company offering to help you apply for CEAP, please be careful. Applications for CEAP can only be made through the Ontario Energy Board’s website, or through your electricity or natural gas utility.

Are you behind on your Enbridge Gas bill as a result of COVID-related work interruptions or slowdown?

The COVID-19 Energy Assistance Program (CEAP) can help.

CEAP provides a one-time payment of up to $750 to qualifying residential customers and up to $1,500 to qualifying small business or registered charity customers to help pay down energy bill debt incurred since COVID-19 began.

  • You cannot receive CEAP funding for multiple residences.
  • If you have previously applied for and received CEAP funding, you may reapply for your primary residence again, to receive up to a maximum credit of $750.

Funds are limited. Applying does not guarantee that CEAP will be provided. If you qualify, you will receive an email notification, and it can take up to 3 months/billing cycles to receive your credit.
