Build with sustainable natural gas

Whether you're in the land development stage for a new subdivision or a commercial project, or need to set up service for homes or businesses, Enbridge Gas wants to ensure you have the opportunity to use safe, affordable and reliable natural gas.

How can Enbridge Gas help?

For new construction and development projects, gas availability requires detailed analysis and this can be done by submitting a natural gas service application. Use our online GetConnected portal to request a gas service application and Enbridge Gas will contact you regarding servicing.

Step 1: Submit an application

Submit a natural gas application for a new service or additional meter.
Enbridge Gas will contact you to coordinate the installation once the accurately completed gas application is processed.

To ensure sufficient time to coordinate the service install, obtain permits, and locate existing underground services, we ask that service applications be submitted 3 months prior to the requested installation date.

Step 2: Our authorized contractors will install the natural gas service line and meter

You will be contacted with an expected installation time frame. Once the natural gas service and meter is installed, request a final inspection prior to occupancy.

Construction heat refers to the use of natural gas prior to initial putting into use inspection (final inspection), during construction, and prior to occupancy.

When construction heat is requested, the meter will be installed and unlocked within 7 business days for ease of access to natural gas for construction heat and to allow for appliance set up, adjustment, commissioning or combustion analysis if required.

Construction heat should be requested during the initial request for service in the GetConnected on line attachment tool. If you have requested construction heat through GetConnected, you do not need to complete this form as Enbridge Gas has automated the process for you. We will be there to set and unlock your meter without any intervention from you.
