Carbon monoxide (CO) is often called the ‘silent killer’ since you can’t see, smell or taste it. But it can cause serious harm and even death.

Protect yourself and your employees from CO poisoning

Have the furnace, water heater and all other fuel-burning equipment in your business inspected annually and repaired, if necessary, by a Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) registered heating contractor.
Install CO alarms on every level of your business.
Regularly ensure outside exhaust vents, flues and chimneys are clear of nests, leaves or debris.
