Union Gas funds Northern Medical School Bursary for Aboriginal Students

Established by Union Gas, the Union Gas Aboriginal Bursary is awarded annually to aid a full time student of the Northern Ontario School of Medicine. The recipient must be aboriginal, a resident of a Northern, rural or remote community, and demonstrate financial need.

“I am writing this letter to you today to thank you for your generosity in providing me with the gift of a Bursary. I cannot begin to tell you how grateful and thankful I am to be the recipient of this bursary and what a difference it makes when you’re a Medical student, unable to work and are always looking for ways to afford your education and living.” – Katherine Storkson, 2011 Aboriginal Bursary Recipient
