Natural Gas Dryers - Safety and Maintenance
Your most important source of safety and maintenance
information is your owner’s manual that comes with your new natural gas
dryer. Refer to it anytime you have a question or concern.
It’s important to understand that at no time do the clothes in the dryer come into contact with the natural gas flame that provides the heat for the dryer. A natural gas dryer is equally as safe as an electric dryer - it's just far more efficient!
Dryer maintenance relies on your attention
The lint trap must be cleaned before every new load
Your natural gas dryer must be vented safely to the outdoors
Periodically check that the vent is not clogged with lint or debris
Ensure your outdoor vent hood opens and closes freely
