2011 MyAccount Paperless Contest

Official Contest rules and regulations

1. How to enter: Entry is automatic through online registration to Paperless Bill Delivery, for either new MyAccount registrations or existing MyAccount paper billed customers. Limit one entry per household. New registrations to paperless bill delivery only. Any prize won will be awarded solely to the individual whose name appears on the MyAccount registration entry. All Ontario residents, age 18 or older are eligible to enter, except employees of the participating partners. No purchase necessary but eligibility is dependent on the following: must be a Union Gas customer, must be not be a current registered MyAccount paperless bill delivery customer, new MyAccount registrants must choose paperless bill delivery.
2. Prize: There will be 24 winners in total, with four winners drawn monthly in June, July, August, September, October, and November 2011. Each winner will win $1,000 issued as a $1,000 on-bill credit. Each winner may also have the option to select their prize as a onetime cheque payment of $1000. Prizes will be applied to the Union Gas bill or couriered directly to each winner. Union Gas is not responsible for lost prizes due to theft, incorrect address or incomplete delivery due to mail, shipping, courier or other factors that would impact the successful delivery of a prize. No reimbursement will be issued for lost prizes as outlined above.
3. Draw date: A random draw will take place at the end of each month, at Union’s offices at 777 Bay Street, Toronto randomly selecting four winners from each previous month's new MyAccount Paperless Billing registrations. Monthly draws will be completed by the 15th of the following month. Each winner will be contacted by telephone and will be required to correctly answer a time-limited skill testing question in order to claim the prize. If the selected entrant cannot be reached within seven (7) days of the draw or does not comply with these contest rules, that entrant will be disqualified and another entrant will be randomly drawn.
4. Chance of winning: The chances of winning depend on the number of contest entries.
5. General Rules
   1. By entering this contest, you acknowledge having read these rules and agree to be bound by them and the decisions of the contest officials. All entries become the property of Union Gas Limited.
   2. The prize must be accepted as awarded and no substitutions or transfers will be made. Prize may be forfeited if rules are not complied with.
   3. Before being declared a winner, the selected entrant will be required to sign a standard Declaration & Liability Release form confirming understanding, acceptance and compliance with all contest rules, and acknowledge the non-responsibility of Union Gas with respect to injuries, accidents, loss or misfortune related to the conduct of the contest, awarding of the prize or the use or enjoyment of the awarded prize. Selected entrant will also be required to sign a Publicity Release acknowledging the rights of Union Gas to publish and broadcast the winner’s picture, name, address, voice and statements for publicity purposes, without further compensation other than the value of the prize offered. All release forms must be returned to Union Gas within ten (10) days of the date of receipt by the selected entrant to claim the prize.

This contest is subject to all Federal, Provincial and Municipal laws. Decisions of the judging panel are final with respect to all aspects of the contest. Union may terminate this contest without warning.
