Shelagh Rogers’s Grilled Tuna

Makes 4 servings

CBC Radio host Shelagh Rogers’s absolute, hands down favourite for the grill is tuna given her simple "flip, flop" treatment.

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • pinch sea salt and fresh pepper
  • 4-5oz tuna steaks


  1. Preheat natural gas grill to medium high.
  2. Whisk sea salt into lemon juice until salt dissolves.
  3. Whisk in olive oil and add pepper.
  4. Brush on tuna steaks.
  5. Place tuna on natural gas grill and cook for four minutes on each side.
