Available Incentives (up to $330!)

1.  Federal Incentive - EcoEnergy Retrofit Program:

The federal government offers an energy efficiency program through Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) called the ecoENERGY Retrofit program. This program allows property owners to qualify for federal grants by improving the energy efficiency of their homes and reducing their home’s impact on the environment.

Homeowners can receive a maximum of $5,000 in grants by making the necessary energy efficiency upgrades to their home including upto $165 for the installation of a Drain Water Heat Recovery unit.  For more information click here.

2.  Provincial Incentive - Home Energy Retrofit Program:

To help homeowners save energy, save money and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, the Ontario Government has created the Home Energy Retrofit Program. The program awards homeowners with rebates of up to $5,000 for home energy improvements. This matches up to $5,000 available from the federal government — for a total of up to $10,000.  Therefore, a homeowner can receive upto an additional $165 (on top of the grant the federal government provides) for the installation of a Drain Water Heat Recovery unit.  For more information click here.
