UNION GAS TO BE EXCLUSIVE SPONSOR OF CK CELEBRATES THE TORCH VOLUNTEER CAMPAIGN
Support for 2010 Olympic Torch Relay reflects company’s commitment to be a partner of choice in the Chatham-Kent community
Chatham, ON – Union Gas today announced that it will be the exclusive sponsor of the volunteer campaign for the CK Celebrates the Torch event on December 22, 2009. The volunteer campaign provides community support for the 2010 Olympic Torch Relay as well as a once-in-a-lifetime experience for people in the community to participate in the relay event when it comes to Chatham-Kent via the cross-country route to the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver.
On hand to make the announcement were Union Gas Vice President Steve Baker, Mayor Randy Hope and Greg Hetherington, Honourary Co-Chairs of the CK Olympic Torch Relay, Ashley White, Project Manager, CK Celebrates the Torch and Lindsay Boyd, Union Gas District Manager for Windsor/Chatham and a 2010 Olympic torch bearer.

Through its sponsorship, Union Gas will support all aspects of volunteer recruitment and day-long activities when the Olympic Torch Relay makes its historic arrival in Chatham on December 22, 2009.
