UNION GAS PARTNERS WITH SEARS CANADA TO OFFER A FREE ENERGY SAVING CLINIC IN CAMBRIDGE
Information and demonstrations provided by energy experts plus free energy saving products give consumers the power to take control and manage energy use
CAMBRIDGE, ON – Union Gas is hosting a free drop-in Energy Saving Clinic at Sears Canada located in the Cambridge Centre on Saturday November 14, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
At the clinic, energy specialists will share simple energy conservation solutions to help consumers reduce heating costs, including insulation and weather stripping tips, caulking advice, draft-proofing demonstrations and more.
Participants will receive a free Wise Energy Guide which contains 40 pages of practical steps to improve a home’s energy efficiency and a checklist that can get consumers started on a Home Energy Reducing Plan.
Free Union Gas Energy Saving Kits and $15 rebate coupons for programmable thermostats will also be available. Each kit contains a number of do-it-yourself items customers can easily install in their homes. Combined, these items can reduce household energy costs up to $200 a year -- ongoing savings that can be used for other household needs.
"Taking steps now to improve the energy efficiency of your home is the best way to reduce your energy costs this winter," said Mel Ydreos, vice-president of marketing and customer care, Union Gas. "Energy conservation is an investment that keeps on giving because the savings and environmental benefits continue year-after-year. With the utility’s rates at their lowest level in ten years, natural gas continues to be the best energy choice for consumers."
