UNION GAS QUALIFIED AS FIRST INDUSTRY-BASED CA TRAINING OFFICE IN SOUTHWESTERN ONTARIO
Company to Begin Recruiting on University Campuses This Fall
Chatham – Union Gas today announced that the company has been approved as the first industry-based Chartered Accountant Training Office in Southwestern Ontario by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario (ICAO).
In 2007, the Canadian Chartered Accountant (CA) profession approved changes to broaden the range of training environments available to new CA students beyond public practice to include corporate and public sector organizations that can provide a high-quality training environment which meets the profession’s rigorous standards for the development of Chartered Accountants.

Union Gas has been approved by the ICAO to hire up to 12 commerce and business students interested in pursuing their CA designation over the next three years. Union Gas will begin recruiting on university campuses across the province this fall.
