Energy Savings in the Drain - Energy Conservation program for residents of London and Middlesex Community Housing
March 27 – London, ON – Join representatives from the London and Middlesex Housing Corporation, Union Gas and Reliance Home Comfort as they highlight a new partnership to deliver unique energy saving technology, free of charge, to residents within the community housing portfolio. Mayor Anne Marie DeCicco-Best and representatives of the Mayor’s Sustainable Energy Council will also be in attendance.
Drain water heat recovery systems recapture heat generated by a hot shower and transfer it into the fresh water going into the water heater, allowing the water heater to work more efficiently, recover faster, and use significantly less natural gas. Up to 60% of the heat that would otherwise go down the drain is recycled and used again.
