Union Gas will help fund studies that analyze an existing building or process to determine the changes that will increase your overall energy efficiency. HVAC studies and plant audits are among the services included. Prepared by a consultant you can:

• Determine your current energy costs

• Prioritize energy improvements

Steam Trap Survey

The survey inspects steam traps to ensure they are functioning properly and also determines if there is a need for condensate return system improvements.

Process Improvement Study

Businesses should complete this study in order to optimize the energy use of a specific piece of natural gas process equipment or operational improvement.

This program identifies opportunities, determines a detailed cost analysis, establishes financial justification and verifies ongoing energy savings in your specific business.

Efficiency Improvement Incentives from Union Gas

Union Gas will help fund measures and equipment that will reduce your natural gas consumption.

Typical projects can include high efficiency process equipment, steam system equipment, building and process controls, and building envelope technologies. Both new and retrofit applications are eligible.

Total incentives cannot exceed $250,000 a year per site.

Demonstrating New Technologies

Union Gas will provide additional funding for companies that adopt eligible technologies that improve energy efficiency and can be used as a demonstration site.

Customer Education

Union Gas will help fund workshops and seminars. We also provide newsletters and access to technical information that help consumers improve their energy efficiency.
