Union Gas was named to the 2011 list of Canada’s Top 100 Employers, an honour that recognizes our goal of becoming the “employer of choice”.
Canada’s Top 100 Employers project is a national competition to identify exceptional workplaces for employees. Companies are judged on eight criteria: physical workplace; work atmosphere; health, financial and family benefits; vacation and time off; employee communications; performance management; training and skills development; and community involvement.
The evaluation process for achieving Top 100 status is rigorous. Administered by MediaCorp, Canada’s largest publisher of employment-related periodicals and online directories, the Top 100 Employers review committee examined more than 16,000 employers in Canada, closely assessing their operations and human resource practices. To be named to this select list is a great accomplishment for our company, and a meaningful milestone in our ongoing efforts to foster a work environment that allows us to attract and retain the ‘employees of choice’.
