It only makes sense to remove the ice and snow as it falls in such cases. Systems designed for condominium complex and apartment walkways and driveways require between 75 to 125 BTU/sq. ft. A more robust system of 125 to 175 BTU/sq. ft. is ideal for retail, office, commercial, and industrial applications, such as hospital sidewalks and loading docks. Institutional and industrial locations often require as much as 200 BTU/sq. ft. for applications such as fire station roadways, stadium exits, airport taxiways, and hospital emergency entrances.
