Rate 10
typically applies to medium - large commercial and small industrial
customers. These include small businesses, restaurants, hotels and
retail stores. These customers are located in our northern and eastern
operation areas and consume more than 50,000 m3 of natural gas each
year.

S1
- General Firm Service Storage Rates
Rate S1 is a
contract rate for natural gas vendors who provide gas supply,
transportation and storage services to residential customers within the
Union Gas northern and eastern operation areas. S1 customers actively
manage their own balancing services and are required to identify their
natural gas volume requirements each day.
Rate 20
- Medium Volume Firm Service
Rate
20 is for commercial and industrial customers who have signed a Northern
Distribution contract for firm gas delivery with Union Gas. These
customers typically burn gas for manufacturing and processing of goods –
such as pulp and paper, mining, institutions, and food and beverage
facilities. These customers are located in our northern and eastern
operation areas and must consume a minimum of 14,000 m3 of natural gas
each day.

- Large Volume Interruptible
Rate 25 is for
commercial and industrial customers who have signed an interruptible
Northern Distribution contract with Union Gas. Customers in this rate
class must be able to shut off their natural gas service and use other
fuels if required. These customers are located in our northern and
eastern operation areas and can use this service alone, or as a
companion to a firm rate (used to top up service if they go over their
contract maximum usage).

Any natural gas distributor in Union
Gas's Fort
Frances, Western, Northern or Eastern Zones who uses Union Gas's gas
distribution facilities for the transportation of natural gas to
customers outside Union Gas's franchise area.

- Large Volume High Load Factor Firm Service
Rate 100 is
for large commercial and industrial customers who have
signed a Northern Distribution contract for firm natural gas delivery
with Union Gas. These customers are typically large manufacturers
requiring a very large volume of natural gas for industrial processes –
such as steel, pulp and paper and mining. These customers, located in
our northern and eastern operation areas, require a minimum consumption
of 100,000 m3 of natural gas or more each day. These customers must
maintain a 70% load factor over the course of a year.

Rate M2 typically applies
to medium - large commercial and small industrial customers. These
customers include small businesses, small greenhouses, restaurants,
hotels and retail stores located in our southern operation area and
consuming more than 50,000 m3 of natural gas each year.

Rate M4 is for
commercial and industrial customers who have signed a contract for firm
gas delivery with Union Gas. These customers (e.g., large greenhouses,
auto parts plants, institutions, and food and beverage facilities)
typically use natural gas for manufacturing and processing of goods –.
These customers are located in our southern operation area and consume
between 4,800 m3 and 140,870 m3 of natural gas each day.
A customer has two options under this rate.
- Sales service, where Union Gas arranges the supply of gas and
transportation to Union Gas on the customer's behalf.
- Bundled T, where the customer arranges their own gas supply; customer or
Union Gas may provide transportation.

M5A - Interruptible Industrial and Commercial Contract Rate
Rate M5A
is for commercial and industrial customers who have signed a contract
for interruptible gas delivery (i.e., the customer must be able to shut
off their natural gas service and use an alternate fuel if required)
with Union Gas. These customers (e.g. hospitals, large greenhouses, auto
part plants, and manufacturers) are located in our southern operation
area and consume between 4,800 m3 and 140,870 m3 of natural gas each
day.
A customer has two options under this rate.
- Sales service, where Union Gas arranges the supply of gas and
transportation to Union Gas on the customer's behalf.
- Bundled T, where the customer arranges their own gas supply;
customer or Union Gas may provide transportation.

M7 - Special Large Volume Industrial and Commercial Contract Rate
Rate
M7 is for large commercial and industrial customers who have signed a
contract with Union Gas. These customers are typically large
manufacturers requiring a very large volume of natural gas for
industrial processes – such as steel, auto and chemical. These customers
are located in our southern operation area and consume at least
28,327,840 m3 of natural gas each year (about 1 bcf).
A customer has two options under this rate.
- Sales service, where Union Gas arranges the supply of gas and
transportation to Union Gas on the customer's behalf.
- Bundled T, where the customer arranges their own gas supply; customer
or Union Gas may provide transportation.

Rate M9 - Large Wholesale Service Rate
Rate M9 is a contract
rate for large wholesale distributors operating within the Union Gas
southern operation area. These distributors contract for firm gas
delivery with a minimum of 2,000,000 m3 of natural gas each year.
A customer has two options under this rate.
- Sales service, where Union Gas arranges the supply of gas and
transportation to Union Gas on the customer's behalf.
- Bundled T, where the customer arranges their own gas supply; customer
or Union Gas may provide transportation.

M10 - Small Wholesale Service Rate
Rate M10 is for small
wholesale distributors (small-scale producers) operating within the
Union Gas southern operation area. This rate is applicable to
non-contract distributors who purchase and/or receives delivery of a
firm supply of gas for distribution only to its own customers.

T1 - Storage and Transportation Rates for Contract Carriage
Customers
Rate T1 is a contract rate for large commercial and industrial users of
natural gas in our southern operation area. These customers are
typically large manufacturers, power plants and auto plants. T1
customers actively manage their own storage services and require a
minimum transportation of 5,000,000 m3 of natural gas each year.
Union Gas's
T1 service is a semi-unbundled storage and transportation service that allows Union’s Southern contract rate customers to tailor contract parameters to meet their individual needs.
The transportation or delivery service to the customers' facilities can be firm and/or interruptible. Each delivery point at your facility has its own specific delivery parameters and must meet a minimum of 5,000,000 m3 of natural gas each year to qualify for the T1 rate.
A single contract covers both obligated deliveries to Union Gas, deliveries on Union
Gas to your facilities and storage service. Balancing between deliveries to Union and Consumption occurs daily using the contracted storage service.

- Storage rates for Unbundled Customers
Rate U2 is an unbundled direct purchase and storage service for non-contract rate customers or natural gas marketers who provide gas supply, transportation and storage services to residential and non-contract commercial and industrial customers within the Union Gas southern operation area. U2 customers actively manage their own storage services and are required to identify their natural gas requirements each day.
